Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month: Let’s Talk About It

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month — a chance to talk openly about what healthy relationships are and what they’re not.

Teen dating violence doesn’t just mean physical harm — it can be emotional manipulation, controlling behavior, verbal put-downs, digital monitoring, or pressure disguised as “love.”

Nearly 1 in 3 teens experiences some form of dating abuse before adulthood.

✨ Healthy relationships should feel safe, respectful, and trusting.
✨ You deserve boundaries that are honored — not avoided.

Resource of the Week: Love Is Respect

Text LOVEIS to 22522 or call 1-866-331-9474 for support, info, and live chat about healthy relationships or abuse.

You’re not alone — learning the signs is the first step toward safety and healing.

In just one week, we’ll be filling Sock Project boxes — together with volunteers who help make this project possible. 💚

Each box represents warmth, dignity, and care for someone in our community who needs it.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who supports this project — through donations, time, and heart. This impact wouldn’t be possible without you.

While this year’s boxes are already spoken for, we’re sharing this as a reminder of what community care looks like — and a heads up that next year, we may be looking for volunteers to help us continue this work.

Small actions. Big impact. Thank you for being part of it.

Mental health recovery isn’t about “fixing” yourself.

It’s about learning how to live with care, patience, and support — especially on the hard days.

Recovery can look like movement.
Or rest.
Or asking for help.
Or simply choosing to keep going.

Wherever you are today, you’re allowed to be there.
And you’re not alone. 💚

Last Friday Trail Fridays had their Winter Social!

We feasted, we exchanged gifts, we laughed a lot, and we filled both our hearts and our bellies—just enough to turn around and run the next day. The Winter Social was exactly what winter miles deserve: good food, great people, and all the Trail Fridays energy.

We have the best trail community and we are always welcoming more members to our group!

Share your best 📸 from last week! We would love to see the Winter Social from your perspective!

💜💚Meet Genia💜💚

She currently serves as the Treasurer of Gr8ter, where she combines practical financial know‑how with a genuine passion for strengthening the community. With hands‑on experience in accounting and finance and a love for supporting causes that make a real difference, Genia helps ensure Gr8ter uses every dollar wisely and with purpose.

In this role, Genia manages budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, always aiming to make the numbers easy to understand for the board and the broader team. They’re known for being approachable, patient, and detail‑oriented—someone who can explain a spreadsheet without making anyone’s eyes glaze over. Their work helps the organization stay financially healthy, transparent, and ready for future growth.

Before joining Gr8ter, Genia contributed their skills in accounting and financial operations at a few large companies in the Treasure Valley area, gaining valuable insight into how thoughtful and transparent financial practices can empower teams to achieve big outcomes. She has supported efforts such as creating sound financial systems, auditing processes and financial statements, creating internal controls, simplifying processes and guiding budget planning, always with an emphasis on clarity and collaboration.

What drives Genia most is the mission of Gr8ter and she strongly believes in mental health recovery. Genia is proud to support the organization’s work by making sure resources go where they can have the greatest impact so we can continue to provide hope and support to those who are living with mental health struggles.

Genia holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Idaho. When she is not reconciling accounts or streamlining processes, you’ll likely find her doing some form of activity like skiing, hiking or working out at the gym. If she’s not there, you’ll find her reading a good book or hanging out with her family.

We are beyond Gr8tful to have Genia on our side! 💚

Holy WOW! Poppy & Pout went above and beyond!

We are so grateful for this giant box of chapstick from @poppyandpout — it’s already headed into Sock Project boxes bringing comfort, care, and a little extra love to our community.

Fun fact: Poppy & Pout has been hand-crafting 100% natural, eco-friendly lip care products in Idaho since 2014 — all made with beautiful ingredients and packaged in recyclable tubes. They started with a passion for sustainable beauty, and they continue to create products that are kind to people and the planet.

These chapsticks aren’t just small items — they’re dignity, hydration, and comfort in a tube.

Thank you, Poppy & Pout, for being such an amazing partner in care and compassion.

SURPRISE!
Top of Tamarack Registration is only 10 days away!!

Top of Tamarack will open registration at 2/2/26 at 2:22 pm
if you noticed we chose the number 222 on purpose.
Not because it’s trendy.
Not because it’s mystical.
But because it tells the truth about how healing actually works.

222 is alignment.
It’s the quiet moment before momentum.
The breath you take before the climb begins.

At Top of Tamarack, we don’t believe healing happens all at once.
We believe it happens when things finally line up — even just a little.
Your body.
Your heart.
Your purpose.

That’s what movement, connection, and purpose have always meant to us.
Not perfection.
Not strength without struggle.
Just alignment.

For many of us, this climb exists because there were moments when staying alive felt harder than showing up. Moments when getting out of bed was the mountain. Moments when choosing to keep going — one step, one breath, one mile — was an act of courage.

222 reminds us that rising up doesn’t start at the summit. It starts when you decide to keep going anyway. When your body moves even if your heart feels heavy. When you lean into community instead of isolating. When you choose purpose over despair — even on the days it feels fragile.

This race is about suicide prevention.
It’s about mental health recovery.
It’s about honoring the people we’ve lost, standing beside the people still fighting, and reminding ourselves that we are not meant to do this alone.

Rise Up is this year’s theme — but rising doesn’t mean rushing. It means aligning with what’s real. It means trusting the timing of your healing. It means letting the climb change you.

So when registration opens on 2/2 at 2:22, know this:
This isn’t just a race.
It’s a reminder.
That when movement meets connection. When connection finds purpose. When we align —we rise.
And we rise together
