Meet Rebecca Cahoon

Interim Executive Director and Top of Tamarack Race Director

Gr8ter enthusiast, golden-hour chaser, and expert orange-slicing artist (no pith, ever!). Her dream day would start with a sunrise hike, detour to a waterfall, and end with a beachy sunset (s’mores required). She’s missing Guam like crazy but is thrilled to be part of the Gr8ter team and is ready to explore Idaho’s trails and mountains.

Reach out to her at: totracedirector@gr8ter.org

More About Becca
  • Who I am professionally: With a master’s in teaching, I have spent nearly two decades working with children, opening small Montessori preschools in Oklahoma and Guam
  • My people: I have 4 kiddos – my girls are 12 and 9 and my twin boys are 5. They are amazing, funny,  energetic, smart, lovable and oh so exhausting. My husband, Scott, and I are always happy to take advice regarding our circus (or contacts of great babysitters!)
  • I’m good at: I love pulling community together wherever we live – play dates, book clubs, moms groups, hiking groups, school parties – I love it all!
  • I’m scared of: I’m terrified of snakes and hope I never have to again battle one with lawn shears in the darkness of a power outage
  • My furbabies: Willow, is our Aussie doodle pup who joined our family just a day after our cross-world move.
  • My favorite self-care: Hiking! But I will take a relaxing pedicure, dark chocolate, and a good book any chance I get.
  • My hobbies: If I am not hunting down new trails or golden hours, I am busy planning our next family adventure or soaking up the everyday chaos that makes life so full.
