Meet Christy Armstrong
Top of Tamarack Honoree Director
Her greatest joy is her family—she’ll do whatever she can to help them thrive. In fact, she even taped a little sign by the front door that says, “Be safe, love you”—a daily reminder she hopes they catch on their way out.
When Christy isn’t cheering on her family or pouring her heart into projects like Top of Tamarack, Memorial Mile, and Overcomer Alley, you’ll likely find her planning a road trip (ruffles and ranch required), relaxing at the beach (snakes not invited), or binge-watching true crime series (she’s basically a detective now).
More About Christy
Who I am professionally: I have been working in R&D type roles at HP for over 25 years. I enjoy working in several different groups within HP to help support onsite events and events within the community.
My People: I have a wonderful husband who keeps me grounded and is always willing to help when needed. We have two amazing daughters that we love very much, and we are very proud that they have grown into kind, responsible, caring adults.
I’m good at: Focusing on large jobs until they are completed, decorating for themed events, and keeping things organized and clean (clutter is not my friend!).
My fur babies: Oliver is a 95 Lbs. Labradoodle-Boxer that thinks he is 30 Lbs., and our newest addition is a 30 Lbs. Mini Golden Doodle that thinks she is 95 Lbs. and lives up to her name. They both think I am really good at taking them for daily walks (but would prefer I do it at 5 AM instead of 8 AM).
I’m scared of: Accepting compliments and talking about myself is not my strongest suit (it took me a year to write this bio). I am also not a big fan of white-water rafting or being in a cave (no thanks, I’ll wait outside).
My favorite self care: A day at the beach? Yes, please! Or I’ll end my day relaxing in our hot tub.
My hobbies: I am an explorer by nature – pick a place and let’s GO! I like bike riding (as long I don’t fall off my E-bike), camping, and boating with our family.
