Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Gr8ter.

Today we pause with full hearts and deep gratitude for the community that walks beside us — in hope, in healing, and in stepping forward toward mental health recovery.

To everyone who donates, volunteers, shares our mission, attends our events, honors loved ones, or simply shows up for themselves…
Thank you. You are the reason this movement continues to grow.

Wishing you a day filled with connection, comfort, and moments of peace.
💚💜

Giving Tuesday is Coming! ONLY 7 days away!

Help us meet our goal of $3000 to fund our Sock Project!

Why Socks? Why March? Why Mental-Health Facilities?

Here’s the heart of the Sock Project ⤵️

Socks are one of the most requested items in mental-health facilities and transitional programs.

They help with hygiene, comfort, and warmth — three things that directly affect someone’s ability to feel safe and regulated in their body.

In mental-health crises, small comforts matter.

When someone is in treatment, recently hospitalized, or trying to rebuild stability, even basic items like socks can be grounding.

We deliver Sock Project boxes every March because mental-health facilities see a spike in need after winter — when the holidays are over, support dwindles, and people often feel the lowest.

💚 Each box includes:
– High-quality socks (Bombas — designed for durability + comfort)
– Hygiene essentials
– A personal note of encouragement
– Resources + support

We’re raising $3,000 on Giving Tuesday to make these boxes possible.
Your donation today becomes comfort in March.
Your generosity becomes dignity.
Your kindness becomes connection.
Donate here: www.gr8ter.org/ways-to-help/

Help us reach 2,000 boxes this year.

Sock Project Sunday!!

Let’s talk sock science!
These little layers of fabric do a lot more than keep your toes warm.

🧦 Socks help prevent blisters and infections, especially for people walking long distances daily.

💚Wool socks can absorb up to 30% of their weight in moisture without feeling wet — talk about cozy!

👣 The earliest known socks date back to Ancient Egypt — made for sandals!

🌈 Fun fact: mismatched socks are often worn as a symbol of individuality and inclusion, especially on World Down Syndrome Day.

When we pack a Sock Project box, we think about all of that — warmth, comfort, dignity, and even a smile or two. Because kindness can be woven into everything… even a pair of socks.

A Message from the Founder:

Last month during our October Climb Time challenge, I learned something powerful: it’s not the climbs we complete that matter most — it’s the connections we make along the way.

I hit some roadblocks. I went into the pit. I missed workouts. I felt like I was failing.
But even in that darkness, little wins showed up — a friend checking in, a kind message, a shared laugh. When I returned to Trail Fridays, I shared honestly during our W.I.F.L.E. (What I Feel Like Expressing) — and the love and support I received reminded me why this community exists.

I’m not “recovered.” I’m in recovery. And every step I take helps me climb out of the pit a little faster and reconnect with what truly matters.

Even if your goals shift, even if you fall short — don’t let that define failure.
Look for the wins. They’re always there.
